Some of you may have already seen this on the site, but I have the North American cover art for The Gathering (below).  I’ve seen a mock-up of the UK one, and will post that when I have it.

Also, quick note about questions…  I’m really bad about answering questions on blogs. It’s not that I don’t want to answer; it’s just that I have so much else on my plate that they slide off it.  My file of “reader mail to be answered” currently has 375 emails in it.  I’ll answer them all, it just takes a while

To speed the process for questions, I direct them to my assistant.  She answers the ones she can and if she doesn’t can’t, she calls me, gets an answer and replies in < 48 hrs.  Her email is mail@kelleyarmstrong.com. She also passes all comments to me so I can reply personally, though it takes me…forever.

I do read all the comments here, though.  With the questions, it’s a matter of “oh, right, I’ll answer that as soon as I get a minute to login” and that minute rarely comes!

What is coming though is chapter 5 of Divided.  Look for that Wednesday.

The Gathering North American cover

Welcome to the new Darkest Powers website!  Since the next narrator isn’t Chloe Saunders, we needed a new site.  Actually, the next trilogy isn’t called the Darkest Powers either, but www.DarkestPowersAndDarknessRising.com didn’t seem like a good idea for an URL.  Maybe someday we’ll have a single title to encompass all the books, but until then www.DarkestPowers.com it is!

So The Reckoning is now out and readers are wondering what’s next.  This site should help answer that question!  You’ll find details on the new trilogy, the characters and an excerpt from the first book, The Gathering.  Still have questions?  Check out the new FAQ page here.

This shiny new blog is going to replace Chloe’s MySpace and LiveJournal ones.  While I won’t close those pages, all new announcements, contests, etc will be posted here, so if you want to make sure you don’t miss anything, subscribe to the feed by using this RSS feed.

That also means this is where you’ll find chapters for the new online stories.  The first one, Divided, has Derek relating the events we missed in The Awakening, when he and Simon were separated from Chloe and Rae.  Look for the first four chapters of that, right here, June 15.

So wander, explore, poke, prod…  If anything doesn’t seem to work right, let us know (support@kelleyarmstrong.com) and we’ll get it fixed ASAP.  And if you find a typo on the site?  Let us know that too.  In fact, if you’re the first person to find one, you’ll get a Darkest Powers mouse-pad. Just to clarify, that’s for the site, not the blog–or I’d run out of mousepads fast!  There is a separate contest that runs with every chapter posting, though, for the first typo reported.
