My tour schedule is mostly complete. There may be a few Canadian dates added (we know where they’d be, just finalizing with the stores) To see the most recent version, click here.
A few of these events are an “advance signing.” That means they’ll have the books early.
For those who’ve never been to a book signing, I usually do a very short reading (5 min) then answer questions and give away swag. Then I sign books. The stores will appreciate it if you could buy the latest book there (or a book of some kind), but most allow you to bring others from home. I’ve put store policies where I have them. If one isn’t listed, please call the store first if you plan to bring in a bag of books from home.
I also promised to give away my last advance copy. Now, you’ll notice most of my events are in places you may never have heard of, like Wayzata, MN. That’s because signings are often in small cities right outside a major one. So for the contest, go through the list and find two American signings in places you’ve never heard of and tell me what’s the major city nearby. For example, Wayzata is just outside Minneapolis. Send your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight Wednesday March 16. I’ll choose one correct entry to win the last ARC.

I really should keep track of these so I can do better subject lines.
I still have a few ARCs to give away and I want to do those this week. I’ll do one Friday, when I announce my tour dates. And I’ll do one now.
So, speaking of tours… I have school visits for the rest of the week. I was looking up the address of the one tomorrow morning so I’d see how god-awful early I need to get up to drive to it. When I googled the school name, though, I got pages of hits for a Miley Cyrus song. Weird. Turns out, she has a song by the same name…because the woman who wrote it went to that school here in Ontario.
Let’s have some fun with this odd tidbit of trivia, then, as I send you on an Internet scavenger hunt for the answer.
Email email@example.com with:
1) the name of the school I’ll be visiting
2) the “real” address of it. In Ontario, not in the song. Give me the street address and city name.
I will accept entries until noon tomorrow (March 9), when I’ll draw from correct ones and notify the winner via email.
DO NOT POST THE ANSWER HERE. YOU’LL DECREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING BY GIVING IT AWAY…AND PISS OFF EVERYONE WHO RESEARCHED IT
